Hi again all, sorry I couldnt get back sooner but I did the latest computer security update and it killed my computer dead. So i had to hook up a back up before i go buy a new one today.

As for the questions. I used the kit from Woodview (main kit,26 pc in Newport Burl Wood #FDTD02A) $125.97

As for the pc around the gear shift, this kit doesn not have that pc included.
Was easy to install if you go slow, and let the cardboard with the pc lay in the front window in the sun. Makes them easier to bend.

Doug - that's sharp. Wish I could see it in person. How do the edges look? Does it look stuck on, or does it fit in the indents nicely? I'm thinking about the one (cant locate the link now) that uses the same metal from the Ford factory. Very pricey, but my interior is al black with Partial white accents, so the metal would look better in my bird.

The kit is very well made. The edges are rounded and looks like the real expensive wood materials. And no you can not tell its stuck on. People are saying, "bet that cost you a bundle of money". And I didn't tell them otherwise. If you are thinking of getting the kit , you wont be disappointed in the way it's made or the way it looks after you install it. Check the site Dave for they have all kinds of materials to pick from, and 2 different style kits.

My kit has been on for nearly seven years, and it looks as good as the day I installed it. I've never had an issue with a piece coming unglued.

These kits have been around for along time and come in all sorts of finishes from wood and metal to just a colored plastic. I've seen some that are real wood also. How well they hold up depends on alot of things, like how much sun light they're exposed to and heat, what's used on the surfaces for cleaning, even damage from cigarettes. In my opinion the worst thing is if you ever deside to try and remove the kit and attempt to go back to the original finish, sometimes the glue from the kits ruins the finish. If these cars ever become classics and collectables the ones kept the most original will be the ones most sought after. You can call it an upgrade if you want, I call it a add-on. Leroy

Was this really necessary? Once again, you post the only negative comment in a very positive thread. For the life of me, I don't understand why you care so much about what others do to their cars.

Doug, I have had that same kit for three years and it has drawn many compliments from people who take the time to view the interior. I have been a carpenter for forty years and have grown to appreciate the look of burlwood. I consider it to be the best upgrade in my bird. My TBN emblem is my best add-on.

I too like it very much as I have installed a similiar kit in to my parents Bronze '05 and evening black '03. But I have a question ...did you upgrage the interior to the full accent.? I only ask as it looks like some pieces missing/not done yet. alan

Now I come unglued why pick on Leroy it's just his opinion. Where does it say
to be a member you must be a goody two shoes? That's nice, I love it, can't
wait to do the same give me a break. Leroy is correct if you think of this car
as an investment don't mess with anything original is the word.

I bought mine to enjoy and its been slightly modified to suit my tastes. After
seeing Doug's photos I think I'll be adding the burl wood trim. I think it does
add a lot of class to the car,something Ford should have done.

Side bar, WD-40 can take off almost any adhesive stick on glue.
