With great sadness, I decided to trade in my beloved blue 2002. As you may remember, she was t-boned four years ago and some things were never quite right since the repairs. Other normal wear issues were becoming too frequent for me to justify spending too much to repair it. The straw that broke the camel's back was the air conditioner compressor on its last leg. An indy shop recharged the system for me and told me it would cost $2100 to fix it right. I still had oil leaking on the COPS, my seat cover was worn out, and the soft top had issues. It was fun while it lasted, seven years and 88,000 smiles. I have absolutely no regrets.

Wow, Joe. You are very observant. I couldn't bear the idea of driving something else, so I got a 2005 Torch red with full red accent interior. I haven't taken any photos yet, but you all know exactly what it looks like anyway!Originally posted by My Raven View PostWow! Congratulations, Jimmy on your 05 Torch Red!

Re: Kokomo traded in
Kok you can never go wrong with a Torch Red Accent ....
.
BTW, I can't wait to see the Cashmere top on the TR. The Platinum Silver looks awesome with the Torch Red Accent. In fact, I got more compliments on it this winter than any other top combination.Last edited by My Raven; May 11, 2009, 11:10 AM.sigpicSoaring with My Raven Under Carolina Blue Skies ...

Re: Kokomo traded in
Hmmmm. Full Texas Accent huh? Does that mean each seat has a holster.
Well done my friend, well done!! After 88,000 miles of smiles, how could you not get another. Let me tell you, from personal experience, life without one was hard. We now have Two. (Just in case)DaveR (as seen on survelance TV)

Interesting way to get our attention, Jimmy. Congrats on the change - when did this happen?
Frits and Ski - the facts show that IG must be the fastest on Texas roads (judging from George's experience last fall - beat red and black by the radar gun)Limited Edition databases for 007 msg..#26 , PCR sticky, and Cashmere msg.#64

No, Dave. I am not a cowboy. No guns for me. I do have that southern drawl though, that is the accent I mean (along with all the red trim.)Originally posted by Ol'Dave View PostHmmmm. Full Texas Accent huh? Does that mean each seat has a holster.
Thanks, Fritz. My reason for choosing red this time: my fiancee' loves red carsOriginally posted by FritsB View PostCongratulations with the new Bird Jimmy. I have heard rumour Redīs are slightly faster then other colors.

Well, that happened when I owned a blue one. However, she does drive a red mustang. Hmmmm...., I am confused. Doesn't matter. Two red cars in the garage now.Originally posted by FritsB View PostSee, there is our proof for the speed issue...it's quicker to fall in love when you own a Red car
