This past week I had an inquiry about the term "Roadster"
So my questions posed to all of you, 2002 to 2005 Thunderbird owners with your original window stickers. Please answer each numbered question.

1 - What year is your model - as listed on your Window Sticker.
2003

2 - Is your thunderbird a deluxe or premium model? (you need to know the original wheel style on your car - see explanation below if you don't know).
Premium

3 - Does your WS say your car came with a hardtop?
PWR Retract Convertible W/Removable Hardtop

4A - Does your window sticker label your thunderbird as a "200#* Thunderbird Roadster?
(You'll find the label near the top of your WS)

or
4B - Does your window sticker label your tbird as a 200#* Thunderbird (without the Roadster designation)?

and/or
4C - Does your window sticker label your tbird as a 200# Thunderbird Sport? (found in center of window sticker on 2005)

*= 2002 or 2003, or 2004, or 2005

A.. Thunderbird in large letters and 2003 Roadster in small letters.

My car is a Canadian!

1. 2002 Roadster w/rem top
2 passenger
3.9 dohc V8 engine
5-speed automatic transmission

2. Does not say deluxe or premium.
(lists 17" painted alum wheels.

3. Yes.

4a yes.
c no sport designation.

Options listed are:
federal excise tax $100.00
interior color accent package $995.00
Thunderbird removable top n/c
total options $1095.00

I didn't really need the excise tax!!!!!

2 - Is your thunderbird a deluxe or premium model? (you need to know the original wheel style on your car - Premium, althougth it does not say that on the sticker. Under std equip it says Chrome cast alum wheels..
Under Std equip it says 17" 7 spoke chrome cast alum wheels. And, Order code is 130A

3 - Does your WS say your car came with a hardtop? Yes, under Key std equipment, "removeable Top"

4A - Does your window sticker label your thunderbird as a "200#* Thunderbird Roadster? Yes

Thought I'd sum up what has been posted since it's been awhile since anyone posted on this thread.
Looks like Ford referred to all 02s to 04s as Roadsters . 05s were labeled as "Sport" the vast majority of the time.

No true USA deluxe models were reported though a couple of Canadian birds are considered deluxe because of their wheel but it didn't make a difference on their window sticker - the term Roadster was used as a label, not referring to any particular type of model tbird.

I think that answers a question that was posed to me by an owner looking for all the options on her car and couldn't find "roadster" defined as an option and was wondering what it meant. I just wanted to verify that roadster was being used as one of several definitions that can be found on the 'net. I had given her one of those definitions as a reply but decided to see how Ford used the term on the window stickers as that appeared to be the only place it was referred to as a roadster other than the PCR.
