      My 05 does not operate like that.
      There is something very wrong.
      I checked the Service Shop Manual, if the trunk is unlocked while the doors are locked the alarm is not suppose to go off. You should be able to open & close the trunk. When the trunk lid is re closed the lights will blink one time and the trunk will be latched & locked.
      You should be able to this countless times. The alarm should never go off.

      Also did you all know the hood is also included in the alarm system? Force the hood open with out releasing the latch from inside the car & the alarm will go off.

          I cant recall ever having any problem with my alarm, but if I open my trunk with my fob the alarm will sound.

            Alarm on ours will sound if the trunk is opened with the remote and the door is still locked. Has been this way since new...

              It sounds like you guys are fat fingering the trunk button and pressing the alarm button at the same time.
