Just wondering if anyone checked this site out before.

It is a Ford Mustang site called THE MUSTANG SOURCE but has a thread with guys designing new Thunderbirds.

    http://forums.bradbarnett.net/showthread.php?t=474548

I love this idea from one of the posts.

Also like this picture of a Ford 49 concept car, which is a four seater.

I like this concept bird as well. May be old news for some but just seen it for the first time on another site and thought I would post them.

I think it is called the 2003 Glass Roof concept.

Every now and then a press kit of the Valmet concept shows up on e-Bay. Mostly in Germany.

one off custom. Valmet no longer shows the design on their website but they do make them for other makes.

                Re: Thunderbird designs

I asked Nancy Gioia at the launch event in 2001 if a folding metal top was ever considfered for the retro Bird. She said it was, but the limitations were:

                1) Cost
                2) Weight (?).
                3) Not able to get the design flow they were looking for if they had to figure out how to hide the top.
                4) A porthole in the top was an absolute requisite. They could not do it with a folding top, as the Valmet concept indicates.

I like the wheels on the Valmet concept. Aren't these similiar to what is on your Inca Gold, Dot?

possibly Ford has it? and reskinned it for their Lincoln Mark X concept from several years ago (not the one they show now)
