Kiwanis Trophy 2009

Tomorrow 6AM I will be leaving to Venlo for the yearly Kiwanis Trophy.
This year the 4 day rally event will take us into the Odenwald, near Frankfurt, Germany.
That is about 450km from where I live.

Got the Bird cleaned, prepared and put the rally signs on.
We have start nr. 8
As far as I can see weather is going to be great too.

Look forward to 4 days of FUN. See y'all later.

Had a great trip through German Odenwald.
Weather was great and allowed us to drive top down throughout the entire rally.
We ended 4th position overall (of 24 teams) and even won day price yesterday. Good promo for the Thunderbird.

Oh, and I'm glad you got to participate in both, as I remember you thought you could only do one or the other at one point!

I am a Kiwanian here in Charleston and I am delighted to hear about the rally you're attending. I would like to hear more about it when I get to see you some day.

Frits, just watched the slide show of all the pictures. Thought you went with a younger crowd but they looked just like us only wearing a little more clothing because of the weather. Looks like you had a good time and I didn't see any other tourists at your stops.

Frits, just watched the slide show of all the pictures. Thought you went with a younger crowd but they looked just like us only wearing a little more clothing because of the weather. Looks like you had a good time and I didn't see any other tourists at your stops.

It's about the same setting as a TBN-event regarding age. Tourist season is over in EU. Most people work until end of October. That's when school holiday starts again. But only for a week.

Besides that the rally usually is set out in quiet area's. Throughout the very small backroads where one would never come if it was not during the rally. That is what makes these events so special.
