Can non original owners add Ford ESP premium care warranty

Hello All,

I was told by a Ford dealer that only the original owner of the TBird can add the extended FORD ESP Premium Care Warranty. Is that true?

I ask because I am considering buy a Bird and some have and some don't have the ESP. If it were only available to the original owner that might steer me towards a particular car vs another.

you are being much to practical here, just buy the car, drive it a lot and enjoy it. It takes a special person to buy a Thunderbird for Canada use, have you considered a Range Rover?

at this point in time, I don't think there are very many if any left with a basic warranty that can be extended with the ESP Premium care warranty however you might be able to get the Ford used car warranty on a low mileage car. Doesn't matter if you're first or 3rd owner from what I've seen on this site. Even the basic warranty transfered to a 2nd owner. The ESP premium care warranty is the property of the person who buys it and they can either cash it out or transfer it to the next owner when they sell the car.
The catch is that the ESP warranty needed to be bought before the basic warranty ran out on the car.

There is a thread on purchasing an extended warrantee. I recently purchased a 2nd bird and on Monday will be purchasing an ESP from lmartun one of our members
