Picking up my used 2003 Desert Sky Blue Thunderbird tomorrow. One owner before me. Needs some TLC on the exterior body/top and some minor work on the leather seats.
Three Sumitomo tires but some odd 4th.
Called the dealer where it was serviced to spy on repairs. The service manager would not fax me the paperwork (too labor intensive) but did tell me the car never was submitted for major work.
According to Carfax, a warranty was purchased through Warrantech in July or August of 2008. Of course, I called Warrantech to see if any claims or issues were reported with the car. None.
My question is -- the car is 6 years old and has 66k+ miles. Do I invest the $2700 in a 4 year warranty? I am also able to buy a warranty for lesser years -- but knowing me and how long I have coveted having a Thunderbird -- I will have this car awhile.
Thoughts, advice, concerns and criticism are welcome!
