My wife drives a car that has an average MPG reading on it. With a push of a button you can change it to instant MPG readings. I love looking at this gauge. I just find it so much fun to try to better the previous reading, and I like the real-time info from the car. I guess I'm easily amused as I get older. Well this prompted me to search for something for the Tbird that I can get the same thrill.
well.. my Ecometer arrives this Monday.

Sorry if the URL doesn't come out correctly. Anyway, it plugs into the OBD2 plug and give average and instant MPG and RPM's. For $69 it's pretty cool and looks good. Only 2.065" in dia. Don't need the RPM's. All that said....
I might not keep it. I have since found A wireless device that will send data to my Ipod touch and/or Iphone. It's called Kiwi plx ($149.00) and with an app download called REV for $40.00 it enables me to do the MPG thing and read codes and clear them and even log the various data. It does so much more, And I like the code reading thing, and no wires.
I'll keep you informed about my various new add-on toys. I'll write reviews if anyone wants.
Thanks for indulging my excitement,
Timbo
