Pics of my Moondoggie's arrival can be seen in my gallery.
And I've only seen new cars of any type delivered to the dealer on open carriers.
Good enough for FOMOCO good enough for me.
I'd rather spend that on gas for my Bird, or a couple of cases of detailer

        What about the '03, '04, '05's
They all came from Wixom to Cleveland open top.
I used to see them being unloaded early AM on my way to work..

John, John - there's a vast world of difference between spending money on perfume vs. car transport!

Besides, white glove, covered and enclosed, cross-country (nearly 3,000 miles), it was the best $1K I ever spent!

I was going to recommend Intercity as well. My boss has 14 cars (all high end -- Maserati, Lamborghini, Ferrari etc) and they all were transported via Intercity (except the Aston Martin I just bought him last month - but that came up from West Palm via a friend's transporter).

That red '05 with 140 miles is a real beauty. I saw the ad for it abut a week ago on the Autotrader online website. Was tempted to sell my black '04 and buy it, but didn't want the hassle. Besides, I know mine!
Anyhow, whoever buys this one will have a really nice one. Congratulations! Bill

Hey, I bought my focus from a dealer in WV and they delivered the car to me in a closed trailer.

DAS was enclosed, not sure about air ride, but car arrived fine.
                  Extremely courteous as well.
BTW why not do Carfax to check title history.
                  I did on mine, 30 bucks,worth it I think.
I am about an hour west of dealer, might be able to get out there next week, but if car checks out,the price is right.

When a car has been sitting this long and not driven, is there anything you have to do to get it road ready, or can you just hop in it and go?

Paul, thanks for the offer but KATXOXO said she would check the car out for me. She lives a bit closer to the dealer then you. Sure appreciate the offer. We have some great people here at TBN.

LOL! That didn't come out right! But yes -- I bought it with his checkbook! Found the color he was looking for -- sent a friend to look at the car, negotiated price and checked with the boss to see if he would write the check. Done. If I could only have the disposable funds to make a purchase like that -- but then again, I wouldn't buy an Aston. I would likely search high and low for a Thunderbird in Vintage Mint Green or Desert Sky Blue that has all of the options available and that was a garage queen with less than 3k miles on it! I would have money left over for another one! :)

Re: NEED EYES IN BABYLON,N.Y. AREA

Just found out that the car comes with the remainder of a 7yr.-75K mile Ford extended bumper to bumper warranty which is about 2 more years and 74,885 miles. My friend has sent a deposit to purchase the car.

I wonder if the 115mi would qualify it to be the Retro Bird with the lowest mileage?

I'd want ALL new Fluid's, and PROOF, before taking Delivery. And I'd also check the sidewalls of the tires, and ask WHERE the car has been sitting all this time. Climate controlled or not. I and a few others, have purchased Birds that have been sitting for a period of time, and have had the OEM Michelin's shread apart. Remember those tires were made way back when, and it is 1 day from 2010. That's a long time for any tire to be sitting with weight in one postition.
