Borla Catback System

In my free time I've been doing some research into parts available for the T-bird. One of the ones I've been interested in were the Borla catbacks. I was wondering if any of you had the system installed on your birds and your thoughts on the system. I have only managed to find one sound clip of it on youtube and there was too much background noise to hear it perfectly.
My issue with it is currently the price as it seems like a lot of money.(which is understandable considering the rarity of the cars). I was also thinking of just swapping out the two rear mufflers out with ones from the 2005-2009 Mustang GT as I'm pretty sure the shapes are close and should give me a slightly less restrictive sound. Any ideas? Thanks guys.

If you like a little rumble, then all you need to do is to sit in one of the cars with a Borla installed - you'll be a goner. Just ask SugarBabe and SugarDaddy (members here on the site), just by moving my car a couple parking spaces - Sugar had to have some Borlas. And they bought a set at one of our events with the proceeds going to a very good cause, The Susan Koman foundation for Breast cancer.

Mine - I was the luckiest gal ever, won mine at a TBN event in Tennessee back in 2005 - I was in heaven! Enjoy them every single time I drive the Bird.

The Borlas are the best system available.I installed them last year.They fit perfect just like the originals.Price is high but the quality is very good'

Borla makes a very high quality product. Still has the lifetime warranty I believe? You see Magnaflow and Cherry Bomb on TV and specialty mags all the time, but hardly Borla. Not only do we have Borla on our T-Bird but I've also had Borla exhaust on another vehicle for 12 years! Over those years, many parts have worn out, but not the exhaust system! By the looks of the system, I don't think I'll ever have to spend another dime on it, not a spot of rust! I like products that last.

THIS IS THE 2009 SPRING SHOW AT BORLA'S NEW PLANT IN EAST TENNESSEE. IF I GET 50 RETRO BIRDS SIGNED UP FOR THE 2010 SHOW, MAY 21 AND 22. HE WILL GIVE A EXHAUST SYSTEM TO ONE OF THE THUNDERBIRDS. I HAVE FIFTEEN ALREADY, ANYONE ELSE INTERESTED?

Hi there,

Hey Ron, we might be interested in attending the Borla Show in May. Where abouts is the show exactly? It can't be that far for us, we are in Rocky Face just about 25 miles south of Chattanooga.

Will have to check that we don't have other plans already but if we are clear I'll try to make it.
