    Re: 3rd Bird

My 94 with 16" TSW Imola wheels (which are off the car, gathering dust in my garage). I'm usually not in favor of mudflaps, but they work well on this car. I also added the factory spoiler.

      Jerry,
Nice bird! I always like this series. It reminded me of the BMW 635 series as far as appearance goes. If I remember correctly, the Tbird had a fully independent suspension - rare on American cars in that day as it adds cconsiderably to the cost and is the reason today that the Mustang GT still does not have it. The dashboard kind of wrapped around you like the Pontiac Grand Prix in the 1970s. The Tbird also had a full set of gauges I think.

Yes, independent suspension, and a wrap around dash introduced on the 94s. Dash actually wraps around into the door panels making the dash extension slightly higher than the door sill. Nicest dash of any car I've owned.

Car is starting to get comments from lookers. But, age and the Northeast weather are taking it's toll on the body. (Good thing it's black.) Car has optional 3:27 rear.

Bad side, terrible transmissions. Common with a lot of mid 90's Ford products. (Towncars, Crown Vics, Cougars, Mercs, etc)

4.6 is a great motor. Not a rocket, but responsive and smooth.

          Still on the original exhaust.

            Day 1:
Charley racked up 356 miles on it today, and it was a short day (he only worked 10 hrs). Found out the radio doesn't work, so he'll put in something inexpensive (gotta have that for long drives). His mother never used the radio, so who'd know? Probably hasn't worked for a long time.

With all his driving he needs satellite radio!
