Recently I removed my hard top and spent some time cleaning and detailing my car as usual.
I heard if you remove the dirt & dust that it came with from the dealer it lowers the value of the vehicle....
Bird is the word..... Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin to slit throats. H. L. Mencken US editor (1880 - 1956)
One thing about black ,
in the sun it's black
at night it's black
in the rain it's black
They only time it changes is when it's dirty and that's usually when you wash and wax it and the front is getting dust before you finish the back and yes I did own a black car a '78 Cougar

Well it is consistent! Nothing like a black car when it is clean and the same can be said for when it is dirty!
People who love black cars and keep them shiney are definately not lazy!
It's black because it doesn't reflect any lights' colors. White is a balance of visible light colors--remember RGB, remember Newton, who first showed that white light was made up of many colors by using a prism? In 1665?

You remember 1665?.........man you must be really old!
Didn't care much for the flame job, but to each his own.

And if I remember correctly, a friend of his walked by as he was playing with that prism. The light refracted and gave him an idea for a great album cover, but also temporarily blinded the friend who walked into a tree knocking an apple unto his head then asked, was that a fig, newton?

To which newton replied" Why yes it is, and why are your lips so pink, floyd"
