Re: 4 down 4 to go

Not everyone is capable or willing to replace the COPs on their own, but after saying that, we are now in the range of - what- 5 to 8 year old vehicles? At that age- regardless of mileage, stuff will start going out. batteries, starters, alternators, COPs, etc.

I guess I am fortunate that I can do a lot of the work myself. One COP is about $36.

I've been wondering about this since I entered this world a month ago -does the 100,000 mile coverage apply to second owners, without a warranty?

Yes. My T-Bird I got used and the 100,000 warranty applied when I was still under that mileage.

The 100,000 mile deal on COPS is a one time replacement. I am sure they track it to the VIN number, hence it probably doesn't make any difference how many owners there have been. The first to have the problem and get it fixed is the one who gets it done free.
