Found an 02 Whisper White today with 2100 miles.

A Ford dealer about 40 miles from my home took in a 2002 White car with full red accent interior in the past day or so. I found it today. It has all of 2,100 miles on it and it still looked new and smelled new. I brought it home. Now, is there someone out there who will furnish me with a place to sleep! I am posting a couple of photos. The car was sold new in Statesboro, Ga. It somehow made its way to Florence, S.C. for an auction and then to the Ford dealership in Whiteville, N.C.

Norman - unless you know that it has been done, change the fluids and filters in that vehicle and check the accessory belt for cracks. Also, assuming the tires are OEM, check those carefully. If they have any cracks or feel hard invest in a new set before getting on the highway. But, you probably know all that.

The Ford dealer changed the oil (its first change!) and checked the whole car carefully. Tires were original but they are fine and I made the 40 mile drive back to North Myrtle Beach with no problem. It felt like I had gone into a timewarp and had just taken delivery of my first 02 Thunderbird.

It's the same dream us 1970 Camaro Z28 owners want...to find a barn-bound on the blocks intact with 1000 miles on the odometer! Sorry, just brought that thought out!

Nice. Needs one thing that I can see - - - "blemish" on the left corner of the trunk lid needs removal. I just can't stand advertising on a clean car.

I agree Sealy - if I can't get the dealer to leave it off, I remove it as soon as I get home. Very easily taken care of with a hair dryer on a low heat setting! Although the one on my Bird was "Steve Hotze Ford," and the letters were above the Ford oval. I took my time peeling off the letters and took a picture of it saying "Hot Ford" before I peeled the rest off.

Several folks have made me aware of an Inspiration Yellow 2002 for sale at Prestige Motors in the York, PA area with only 17 miles on it. That is correct-17 miles. Asking price - $32,000. Car is apparently "factory fresh", or "iin the wrapper" as they say. And it will likely stay that way for a while at that price, too.

Yes, we do quite a lot actually...Have a condo at SMB on the Intercoastal Waterway...Sheila is down there right now soaking up the beach sun...We came to a couple of the car shows in NMB...You weren't there at the ones we attended...We'll cross paths one day...

Love that interior Norman! You just may have made a better investment than to park your cash in a south-ward headed stock-market. I'm not so fond of W/W but with that interior, definitely YES!

P.S. Somebody snap-up that Inspiration Yellow before I start to get any ideas. I think it's worth 32 grand to have a chance to "time-warp" (like Norman said) to 2002, and have a crack at the feel of brand-new. I did it with my '05, which literally still has the brand-new smell inside and the peel-off protection on the logo of the intake cover. Thanks to those of you who store-em, guys like us get a chance at a new one.
