Thanks for a great slide show! Always learning something new: I didn't know that the "square-bird's" hood was hinged at the front, just like the '55-'57 T-Birds are. Those 58-60 were sure huge, but still had some decent continuity of T'Bird's true mission as a luxury-sports car, IMHO.

          Thank you,

          Lindy

Looks like the Thunderbirds from 1955-1966 as well as 2002-2005 were well represented. There didn't appear to be any Thunderbirds from the 1967 to 1997 model years. I guess most of those model year Thunderbirds ended up being daily drivers and have long been worn out.
I noticed a '75 (or '76) in many of the pictures (gold and cream colour) and also a '67,8 or 9 in one picture. Not many as you say.

Ah, the square bird, the first unibody and perhaps a bit larger overall but would not say 'huge'. Actually, the 58 was a couple of inches lower than the '57. Those years were the start of the "Square Bird Society" as they were (not welcome) in the '55 to '57 circles. this group later expanded to become the "Vintage Thunderbird Club of Amerca" (Now VTCI). Included all T'birds from '58 to '66.

                Martin,
You really ought to make plans to join the Show-N-Shine as well as the 3 day cruise next year. It is always the same weekend in May every year, the last weekend in May. Fly out, I'm certain that many of the members of the Okanagan Classic Thunderbird Club who have the model years with a back seat would love to have you along.

Martin.
