Re: While at Dearborn and Coming Home.
Also went to the dealer this morning "Bill Jarrett Ford" in Avon Park and got a price for fixing the bumper and replace left taillight, it was cracked. They will pull the whole panel off the car, repair the brake in the bumper, repaint and clear coat bumper. Total is $628.81. Going ahead with this as soon as they get the new tail light in.
Everything should look good as new when Gettysburg rolls around.

Re: While at Dearborn and Coming Home.
Just found out that my great insurance company won't pay for an original windshield as long as an after market is available. Soooo, I have to shell out $250.00 more for some writing on the bottom of the windshield. Thanks a lot S.F.

Re: While at Dearborn and Coming Home.
Spence,
So sorry about your mishaps. Let me echo the earlier sentiments, 'don't let this spoil the event for you". While it is a joy to drive our TBirds, there is also a risk, but they can be repaired.
So glad you came and hope long term memories will be the good ones!

Sorry to here that Spence. I always get nervous near 18 wheelers on the highway for that reason. Had a couple of windshields replaced on other cars in the past that way...

Sorry for your happens stuff, but don't let it color the whole trip. You had a good time, make arrangements to fix the T-Bird, and have a great 4th O'July.(For this weekend, that's a firecracker.)

While at Dearborn and Coming Home.
We had a great time at Dearborn and everything seemed to go smooth with the event. That is except for our Bird. While on our way there or while we were there our rear bumper got hit while parked somewhere. We didn't notice it until late Sat.. It has about a 1" split in it right below the left tail light. I though, what the heck, it was hit once before and I'll just deal with it. Then today, we were about 150 miles from home on 75 when a stone hit the windshield. We now have a 12" crack across the windshield. Now I am pis-ed!!!
We stopped at our agent on the way back to the house before we even got home. Good news is the windshield is covered 100%, bad news is the bumper is a $250. deductible. It will be going to the dealer for an estimate tomorrow.
