Interesting... when I bought my bird almost two years ago, there wasn't much of a market for them. Seemed to be several in the area for sale. I almost pulled the trigger on a Merlot, but waited too long to make up my mind. But, I did get a great deal on the current blue one.
My only experience with foreign cars was an old "Beetle", and a convertible Suzuki Tracker, which I kept for almost 10 years and loved. For my next convertible car, (simply as a special time driver) I looked at many cars, but really wanted to buy American. There isn't really a big selection of nice convertible American convertibles to chose from that did anything for me.
I really thought I wanted a Saturn SKY, but there were way too many negatives, and they were still too new and expensive. Almost everyone here has a Mustang convertible. The Sebring did nothing for me. etc.. etc..
When I drive the Tbird, it's a real headturner.
