Re: Kelsey-Hayes Wire Wheels - Discontinued

    Hi Mark,

Had a great day a few light showers hardly worth mentioning 80 Thunderbirds showed up, still waiting for the official count but I would approximate 20 to 30 Retros were in attendance. I am sure Snowbird will have tallied the Retros for me.

And a good time was had by all.

I will post some pics shortly on the TBN & SOTC websites.

    Gord

Drive it like you stole it !!!

Re: Kelsey-Hayes Wire Wheels - Discontinued

I have a new source for the 'retro-style' wire wheel for 2002-2005 Ford Thunderbird, that resembles the original 'Kelsey-Hayes' wheel' originally offered on the 1962-1963 Thunderbird Sports Roadster. This wheel featured the 'knock off' center hub cap like the Kelsey-Hayes, and is close to identical to the wheels previously manufactured by Roadster Wheel company, which has since gone out of business. This is a high quality wheel manufactured by a very reputable company. Price will be in the $ 500 range per wheel, which is comparable, if not less, than the Dayton wire wheel that retails for between $ 2,200 and $ 2,700 per set. We are taking pre-orders now with a $ 1,000 deposit. Estimated time for production is approximately 90 days out.

Anyone interested can contact me at: pwwegener@earthlink.net

A set of these would be a nice donation to the St. Jude auction.

Do they require installing tubes? Also, would like to see pictures.
