Actually, I went through an accident scene like this back in 1984. I had just purchased my very first new car (yes, I admit it - it was a Pontiac Fiero).. I had just driven my wife Anne to work, and was cruising back towards my office, when all of a sudden, a beer truck emptied its load on the road right in front of me - nowhere for me to go. There were wooden boxes carrying quart sized bottles spewing on the street (was on its way to a local tavern for a delivery - NOT that day!!). The crushing sound of those bottles exploding on the road is a sound I'll never forget - nor the suds that billowed all around my Fiero. The bottles and wood boxes actually lifted the front end of my car, and cut the brake lines. Bottles bounced off the car and smashed against my windows. Man I was angry.

But the happy ending to the story is that I quickly sold the Fiero (after a full repaint and brake line repair), and got a spanking new 1985 Thunderbird - my first TBird (though it was a daily driver family car - but a good looking one!!).

In 1977 we had a 18 inch snow storm in Louisville Ky. The city was shut down but a friend of mine had to go and check on his store. As we were headed around a turn we came up a Bud truck that had filpped over the guardrail. All the beer went through the top of the truck and buried it's self in the snow. We got out and dug in the snow and found a cardboard box and underneath was a case of COLD beer. We spent couple hours digging. Filled the trunk up and back seat. Wives were pissed because we were gone too long..... BUT the neighborhood loved it. Beer for everyone for the next summer......ALL FREE....!!!
