  • Cost of 2005 hard top?

Can I get some facts on what "05" hard tops are selling for in excellent condition? I know a lot of you monitor and post prices of such items and I need a close ballpark figure as to what people are actually paying. I looked on ebay but there doesn't seem to be any listed or bids out there.

    Thanks for the help.

Scott, don't know about the cost thing but any year from 02 to 05 will fit your Bird. The only difference is outside colors and the headliner in the 02 is a different shade of black/charcoal then the 03 to 05's. This all depends on that outside color you are looking for.
They are Here. Scotty, beam me up!

$1,500 in excellent condition including OEM tool, cover and storage rack. Don't pay any more than that.

PK is right, but: The entire car is worth what you are willing to pay, and what the bank will loan you, if you finance. This car is a love affair looking to happen. I fell bad and spent all of my on-hand cash on her. I would not have it any other way! As Spence said, pick a color! I am a hot rodder at heart. And, I am working on the horsepower and torque issues for my 02. It will now get rubber in 2nd, sometimes, and first when I push it. This car in general is not a hot rod, I'm just crazy. If you love the feel, power, sunburn, looks from spectaters, fun at shows and wonderful friendships of Thunderbird Nest, keep looking for the one you may love, and buy it! If you really want power at the same cost, a used Vett is fun, but you won't find these people with it! I've got to brag now... My very imperfect 02 bird just took a four foot trophy, just becase she was clean and the public fell in love. I wish you much fun and many sunburned miles. The price will run from $14,000 to $50,000 depending on condition, and your lust... Ed P.S. Spence, what about that beautiful intake system on your bird? I'm the guy that fell in love with it at the 55th...

I paid $400.00 for mine, no stand. no tool and no cover. Had to buy a new inside header molding and a new out side leading edge molding and paint it. Rub out a couple scuff marks and it's as good as new. I have about $700.00 in it now. Made a stand for it and bought the tool at Menards for about $10.00, Torx size 40. I cover it with a moving blanket. Oh yea! It's the wrong color too, and I love it.

Scott, remember if you find a deal and it's a long way from home, not to worry. A hardtop relay will solve the problem. Good luck on your search. Don't forget to buy the rest of the car too. :D
