    Re: They do get stolen

I just shudder when I think of how someone attempted to steal my Merlot, when I was in the middle of a move from NE to UT. They had gotten the keys, but luckily the car battery was dead and then I came home to move the car before they came back to get it.

My cars way of saying..... oh no you don't!

          Re: They do get stolen

3 years ago I was visiting one of my vendors in detriot. I parked my bird inside the fenced parking lot. One my vendors employees called me out of a meeting to report 4 guys in a junker parked next to my car and looked liked they were getting ready to make off with it. I ran out to the parking lot with several of his employees. Needless to say they drove off very quickly. The police said that the car they were in was stolen. I drove back to my company guarded lot and never drove it to the vendors again. Can't blame them for wanting to steal a Tbird!

I have Lo-Jack in both my birds - unfortunately it won't stop someone from taking one of them but at least I know I'll get it back.

Our neighors Cadillac Escalade was stolen a few months ago-from their driveway. The police were called and told the owners the Lo-Jack was deactivated within minutes of the vehicle being taken. I've also heard that really experienced thieves are using some type of radio devise to open your car doors by picking up the frequency of the remote door locking system. The report suggested using your key to lock your door.

I don't understand how locking the car with the key would prevent someone from using that same devise.

With GPS available it's ridiculous that any car can be stolen these days. It would cost very little to have them all "Tagged" with a GPS transmitter.

Does anybody on TBN have access to discounts for LoJack? I want to add one to my classic car; it's $695...allows YOU to know where it is and is self-contained.
