Wow...Thanks all! You guys got me all pumped up now. I feel like I really bought something special. Still can't believe I did it. Tough decision to do something like this with the way things are going. Ya only live once right! I'm really glad I stumbled on this site. .....Hey Jerry, I live in Fresno too. My wife told me yesterday she saw a black T-Bird driving on west Shaw. Maybe that was you! Thanks again...can't wait to get the top off! AD
It must have been someone else. I didn't take "Blackie" out yesterday.
But, I drove to my appointment this morning in "Blackie", top-down, like always.
We're in NE Fresno, so maybe we'll see you one of these days.
I'm in NW area so we'll be on the look out for you.....I always see a yellow, pink, red, torquise, green and white every once in awhile but never a gray. So I guess it was meant that I got this one....see you around! AD

YES!! A pink! I am not kidding you. If I ever get the chance, I will shoot a pic. I see it driving every now and then on the main street near my house. That's why my daughter was giving me such a bad time about buying a T-Bird.......She said why don't you get the pink one Dad!
Yes, I have seen a pink T-Bird retro at Jack's Car Wash in NE Fresno one day several years ago. I asked the lady who owned the T-Bird if it was from Galpin Ford car. She didn't know. She said that she got it that color originally. It looked nice. It probably was a Mary Kay cosmetics car.
Mary Kaye didn't have any Thunderbirds done as one of their cars. I do remember someone here saying they had talked to someone with a pink bird that was a Mary Kaye rep. so I read up on their cars. The person they talked to assumed it had been done as a Mary Kaye car as the car had been given to her... but... Mary Kaye uses GM cars in the US, the pink Cadilacs are leased to their very top sales persons, all others leased to top sales persons but lower in their heirarchy, are painted other colors; MK has the Cadilacs painted their special color of pink then lease them to the person that was awarded the priviledge of having one. When lease is up, car is turned in and repainted a more standard color and sold. Probably why you don't see real Mary Kaye pink cars very often.
Also, Mary Kaye pink is not the same pink as Dusk Rose which is the color that Galpin used on their cars.
MK pink is a pale pink pearl, at least in the last 10 years.
