    Dot

Sorry to hear about your encounter but glad to hear you are OK. They can just come out of no where. Thankfully there is not major damage and you did not get hurt.

Glad you are ok, as we used to say at work "Better tin than skin"-- but there is no tin in the bird bumper and you cost the deer some skin!!!

I hit a small deer in VA this past summer. Cracked the bumper as well as the grill. I had not noticed the grill cracks until the shop pointed them out to me. They were not big but had lots of small cracks that looked like cracks in the chrome

Glad you are OK. I am not sure if you can go back and claim the deer if it didn't make it. However, you would need to do it fairly quickly.

Today's Update : Called insurance, covered with deductible. They approved the repair facility George wants to use so George contacted our local Ford dealer. They are ordering a new bumper and whatever else it takes to put it right (paint). That's good. Will get rid of the road chips and old hidden scratches from running over a high curb. Car will go in when they've got the parts. George is thinking of asking their body men to repaint the hood and fenders too (and we'll pay that bill) to get rid of the hood road rash.

Sorry to hear you hit one of those doggy deer. I hate it for you and your car. Good luck on the paint match. Take care.

Sorry to hear of your experience. Also glad to hear you were not injured. But it looks like the end result will be positive - an almost new, Thunderbird Blue, 2002.
