  • Fog-running lites

The 2 little roung lites below the grill look very pale and yellow compaired to the head lights. Has any one noticed this and is there a different bulb or light that can be used. Mine look like 2 canles when on.

Do a search for DRL or daytime running lights. There is a lot of info there.

If you want brighter driving bulbs, you can replace them with the Polarg M6 available on eBay. The bulbs are blue when off, but are a much brighter white than the OEM bulbs when on.

I recentlybput in 5 element led's. They seem pretty bright. Tthe problem with the ones mentioned is life expectancy. Several of us have had them blow out in less than 2 years.

I too have put in LEDs.

I also have re=wired the light to be on all the time the Bird is running. These are great day time operating lights.

Check this source, the LEDs are only about $10.00.

David, you are right, the Polarg lights are not long-lasting, but they sure look great.

David, Mike, are the LED lights plug and go, nothing else needed?

                  Re: Fog-running lites

Plug & play with the lights. The only mod is if you want them to be DRL's.

                    Phil,
Yes the LED bulb's base is shaped exactly the same as the OEM bulb or any other 921 bulb. 5 minutes you just unscrew the retaining screw, out comes the whole lamp housing, quick twist of the socket & it comes away from the lens housing. Pull the old bulb out of the socket, pop in the LED and put it all back the way it came apart.

                    Simple as that.

Thamks to all of you for the wealth of info'. The lights buy themself probably wouldn't look so bad it's just such a contrast when all the lights are on. I like the DRL concept
