I hate to show my ignorance, but...............I didn't know there were posts located under the hood either!!! Sometimes, unless there is a real need, you just don't have a reason to know. Some of us read the directions &/or manuals 'after all else fails'!! Kinda funny though!

            Okay.Okay!!! Gotcha!!!!

I just could not resisit that opportunity for my gift to bluff to kick in.

Of course, there are no jumper posts under the hood. I had to convince the AAA man standing in front of his wrecker/tow truck.

I apologize to everyone. No harm intended. Congrats to all who did not bite. Sorry to all those who did. I promise not to do that again - (at least for a while).

I'm sure most of us who familiarized ourselves with our cars knew that there's no such provision under our hoods.
But the supposition is not ludicrous. My Mini Cooper had the battery in the trunk, and a post under the hood for jumping. It was well marked, not hidden, so any neophyte could find it.

I was wondering if the '03s had that feature when I know for sure the '05s don't. I was jealous for a minute...

Well, I wasn't kidding, just thought that there might be, because in my 2000 Buick LeSabre, the battery is under the rear seat, in that case, the battery is almost too remote for a jump. So they put posts elsewhere. In the case of our T-Birds, the battery is very reachable in the far rear. Was just wondering if we had overlooked something on our birds.
