Yes the diamond design in the whitewall itself is a bugger, and attracts everything. Even with the "Clean-wheel" disks. The Gold stripe accents the Sand interior very nicely. BUT, when, and if, they ever wear out, they will be replaced with Michelin's from Diamondback with a nice smooth wider white wall. I run 35 psi in them. Absolutely.....no issues.

Is it left up to only me to represent IG at the cruises?

His picture of the car looked like an IG to me even though he did write IY.
OK Dave which color is it?

They are also "W" speed rated. The installer at the Ford dealership was really impressed at how easy they were to force balance. He said as a set they were the easiest to balance and the truest round that he had ever installed. I value his opinion since he has many years experience.
I don't believe that the opinion of non-owners will be of much value to Jerry in his quest to purchase new tires.
I have my 235/55ZR17912W Falkens from Diamondback for two weeks. So far so good. Running at 35lbs, feels great for what that means. Falken Tires are used and have a car in the American Lemans series. I drive mine during Wisconsin's Spring, summer and fall seasions at or about 5000 miles. IMHO it's the look that I want to go with what, I feel is really the retro look that Ford should have done.(Thanks Treken for the grill trim)

Dick, I was told to run 41 psi by DiamondBack in my Falken 912s, which should be delivered late this week.

                  Jerry,

Wow! Let us know how that rides. At 41 psi, I would think that would really create some rattles and excessive cowl shake. 41 ps1 cold is going to be even a couple of pounds or more higher after they get on the highway.

                    Re: To all Falken owners

41 was recommended due to the Falken sidewall structure.

Other brands of tires, lower pressure.

                    We'll see.

I did read that Falken owners felt their tires were "squishy", and higher psi did make a difference.

I started at 35lbs because that's what has always felt best and performed well. I'll try different settings and see what works best .

                          Re: To all Falken owners

                          Tires installed today.

First impression (short trip home), 41 psi is not too much. No new rattles, even with the hardtop on.

Second impression, glad I didn't get the MSG top. IMHO, black car, white walls, MSG top, Saddle interior=too much.

Third impression: should have gone with my gut, but I'll hold off any explanation until I get more accustomed to the new look.

As soon as we get some decent weather and I can wash the car, I'll post a picture.

Car's pretty dirty since the Galaxie motors (old block and new block) and parts took over her garage.

                            Re: To all Falken owners

                            Here's the new tires.
Since the retro is a cross between old and new, I figure the tires are as well. Not full whites, like the first TBirds, but not thin whites either.
Also, ww go well with the TBird's white circle in the cap.
No problem yet with 41 lbs.
Hind sight, I probably should have gone for a little smaller black edging. 1/2" black edge, IMHO, pushes the 1 1/2"ww out too far. 1/4" edge probably would have been perfect.
My fault for not asking when I ordered.

Very nice, Jerry. I like them better than the Vogue's on black.

My Falkens have a max PSI of 52 PSI marked on the tire.
