....She was just loving the option of putting the top down!....I have spent early spring in the U.K....talk about keeners!.....then there are the Miata owners....I'm sure there are some that drive top down no matter what the weather!

haha I remember my first convertible. It was a '68 Camaro RS/SS, red w/ white interior. I had no clue what I had. Was just a fun car for a sassy lil girl. By the time I traded my dad a '69 912 Porsche for it, it had grass growing in the backseat foot-wells. I had that top down ALL the time. haha Good memories! ( I was 19)

[QUOTE=jayred1;427187]If the bird were my daily driver, it would frequently be dirty. If after weeks of cold weather, followed by melting of a foot of snow, and we had a day hitting 70 (like this Thursday!), I'd absolutely have the top down (clean or otherwise).

        I agree 100%!

Took the top off the already clean Bird yesterday, still had to apply Ultimate Detailer to the , then this morning, my wife and I drove to the Mississippi Gulf Coast for the afternoon and over to Gulffport for dinner at Vrazels. Beautiful sunny day with few scattered clouds. The Bird was shining, top down, the temp just a bit cool, but Ohhh.....so enjoyable!

With a gravel driveway owned by 5 other families I am having a tough time keeping my evening black Bird clean...Mud in the winter and dust in the summer. But I do my best..Even installed mud flaps--which actually help some. My neighbors don't seem to want to kick in for a 200 yard long blacktop driveway just to keep my car clean. What's the matter with them!!After all of that--if my car looks dirty--I won't drive it..l

Yes, it is "weird to walk around with bathroom tissue stuck to one's shoes".

I'll have you know that we broke a 100-year record by accumulating a FULL INCH! <snicker> The sad thing is that it still shut down the city.

Hi All, I have posted here before and learned a great deal about the care and maintenance of my car. Had a problem with COP's and found out it was covered under extended warranty and had them replaced by dealer, drove car 1/2 mile to my house and hard shifting started. Now the Ford dealer says I need a new tranny. The problem is I cannot find my 30,000 mile maintenance receipt and unless I have that they say they will not cover the new tranny. Any advise from my fellow birders? Anyone got a blank receipt I can fill in...so it can be covered. My husband had the 30,000 mile done and then he died and I cannot find the receipt....Help...it only has 43,000 miles on it....but I have an extended warranty is bought and they are the ones that need the documentation, I have everything else.

I would think if your dealer did the check-up they would have that on record. Sounds a little strange on the dealers part.

Dealer who did he service should have all the records in their computer. Something doesn't sound right on their part.

It's safe to say that '02-'05 T-Bird owners are a bit more proud than the average car owner, and are thus more likely to keep 'em clean for a bit of proverbial "show-boat'n." No?!

Lots of things don't sound right in your post... mostly that you want a blank receipt, secondly that you posted in a thread about a car not being washed.

Even when my car is'nt perfectly clean during the rainy season (it does rain occasionally here in So Cal), I will usually Windex the chrome wheels and windows between my weekly handwashes-which I do myself. Those quick wheel and window cleaning can make a less-than-perfectly clean car sparkle.
