We have to be patient with newbies until they get the hang of how things work on the site.

The dealer that did the 30K service should have a record of it in their service file for your car, on thier computer system. I know my dealer has all the history on my car on thier computer. Leroy

Right now my TBird is filthy. I've driven it for the first time in almost 6 weeks starting Monday, with the melting snow and all the standing/streaming water on the roads it really got messed up. By Saturday the snow should all be gone and off to the car wash. Dirty or not, it is still fun driving it.

                Newbies??

I choose to drive a dirty retro every now and then rather than let it sit for months waiting for the good weather to return.

I need exercise and so does my car.

Re: Dirty car with the top down?

Ask yourselves how much effort car makers go put into designing cars and engineering paint systems to make them withsatand the elements and look pretty. Washing our birds once a week seems to me to be a small price to pay. Besides, Tbird are icons and need to shimmer when they mingle with lesser breeds. Don't own a dog so between washing the Tbird and my Liberty I get a little of that exercise the couch can't provide.

I love my bird so I won't let anyone see it unless it's clean

I suppose it's possible she hasn't run it through a carwash because the top is stuck in the open position...
Do you know the difference between education and experience?
Education is when you read the fine print; experience is what you get when you don't.

I would prefer to drive mine dirty than run it through an automatic wash. I wash it by hand only.

Re: Dirty car with the top down?

I went to the chiropractor yesterday afternoon and took the Bird out for the first time in a couple of weeks. It was dirty! In fact, Judy went out later and she went to take the Bird. She came storming back through the front door, slammed the keys on the couch, and said I can't drive that dirty car! LOL! I guess she's a lot pickier than me, I sure enjoyed that top-down drive despite the dirt...

That's what I forgot to do today - wash the car.

Your analogy definitely got a laugh out of me.

I just hate driving a dirty car period regardless of what it is. That being said, my Thunderbirds are dusty from just having sat in the garage since early December. Our 2 daily drivers (a VW Passat and a Mercedes SLK320) look pretty filthy right now as they sat out outside in the wind and rain we've had here lately. Of course, since I broke my hip in December, I haven't exactly felt like going outside to clean cars. However I am getting around better now so maybe I'll drive one or two over to the car wash this week.
