    Re: Stop light bulb replacement

Oh, I forgot to add to the above post. I have a minor problem with a broken rivet that holds a roller that guides the cable in the side of the soft top. It isn't causing a problem but since I have Ford's Extended Warranty I thought I'd check if it is covered. I showed the part to the service writter and asked if it was covered. His answer: "I don't know but I can send car to trim shop and they can test it." I asked what kind of test? His answer: "Well, they will look at it and the cost for that test is $70." $70 to determine if they can do the work under warranty! I know it is time to find another dealer.

    Sorry, end of rant!

Want to hear an amazing story - well, I have a '92 Ford F-150, purchased new and still have it because it's too good to get rid of. Concerning light bulbs, and I'm serious about saying this, I have yet to change one bulb anywhere on it, as far as from top to bottom, front to back, and inside and/or outside, I still have all the original factory bulbs, installed when it was built. And I drive it still quite a bit, daylight and nighttime. Once again, not one single bulb anywhere on it, has ever been changed or replaced.

In all my years of driving the only bulbs I've changed on different cars have been headlight an interior dome light and one dash light. On my Bird both tailights with about 30K on them And I did do them myself.
