As far as damages to your car if you had got the name of the trucking company they would have covered all your damages. And in the case of tailgating anything within 50 feet of the back of one these is tailgating.
I drive one of these beast and when I travle I do not run behine them, when I pass
I go around them as fast as I think I can get away with. Do not hang around the tires when passing if your cruse control is set and you are inching past speed up.
Big trucks are large mechines and dangerious as any large mechine in any factory care must be takin when around them.
I can certainly see this recap issue from both sides. But this is America and we as a society will always opt for cheaper over safer unless forced to go the other way.
I do agree with one statement - get around 18 wheelers as fast as possible! I hate to get behind someone in the passing lane that is just inching past an 18 wheeler. These drivers are as big a problem as the gators in the road from the trucks.
