While listening to XM radio, I heard this little trivia/fact regarding Bachman ...
(from Wikipedia) ... "The Bachman family name is pronounced /ˈbękmən/, and the band uses this pronunciation when referring to themselves.[2] This pronunciation is an example of a speech pattern known as Canadian Shift. However, the pronunciation of /ˈbɑːkmən/ is the standard outside of Canada. It has become so widespread, especially on American radio, that the band no longer makes the correction, and both pronunciations have become acceptable."

One of twenty two built like this
She was a good one. Sold 12/30/2014.
Replaced with 2013 Infiniti G37 Coupe.
A lot better car and even more exclusive, but doesn't have the Cachet the Thunderbird had. Adios, mi Amigo.
Thanks for the interesting read Dot. I was always of the opinion that he had the '66 that used to belong to Burton Cummings. At least that was the picture that I saw a few years back.
The Guess Who had a '57 Chevy that belonged to one of the members of the group (most likely Burton as he was the car guy) and it was featured on the cover of one of their albums. From time to time they would cruise Portage Avenue in the Chevy when they came home between tours.
I worked out of Toronto for the newspaper company that owned a number of Canadian newspapers including the old Winnipeg Tribune and traveled to Winnipeg periodically in '66-68. On one trip I did get to see the '57 Chevy cruisin' the town. In 1969 I was transferred to Winnipeg to become national advertising manager of the Tribune.
By then, Chad Allan, the founder of the group had left the band and Bachman, Cummings, Kale and Peterson were all local heroes. In '69-70 they hit the big time with These Eyes, American Woman, No Sugar Tonight and others.
Bachman left the band after getting sideways with Cummings about Randy's devotion to Mormon religion and founded the group Brave Belt, that evolved into BTO.
