    Re: Consumer Reports

I have never felt C.R. was as unbiased as they would have you believe, just like Ralph Nader. I retired rom a large Co. with a mamouth fleet of vehicles. When computers came of age in late 80's -early 90's they kept massive records on their fleet and the cost per mile of ownership was lower on Ford products by a wide margin. tThe 70's was bad for everybody even Mercedes had it's share of lemons, but by late 70's nobody had a car as quiet and smooth as the crown vic. or grand marquis. I never understood how somebody could drive a Cadilac and a Towncar and choose the cadilac.
