  • Found an Old Ford BillBoard

While poking around the inter-net found this copy of an old Ford Billboard.
Thought it was kind of cute as well as makes me want to get the Hard Top off asap.

Just be careful that you wont end up needing one of those 'outsellers'.

The little dog looks a lot like our little Fritz, the Wonder Dog.

Be careful what you wish for, young man! The baby carriage, I mean.

          When is that billboard from?
Pretty big statement, saying Ford sells the most convertible autos.

Cute billboard. I'm guessing that Ford sold more convertibles than a single division of GM but not all 5 divisions in the 1950s and 60s.

The Mustang Convertible has been on a tear for years...and for many makes there is no convertible. Year in and Year out, the Mustang Vert is the #1 selling convertible.

A lot better car and even more exclusive, but doesn't have the Cachet the Thunderbird had. Adios, mi Amigo.

From old family photos, the a baby buggy or carriage like the one in the billboard, is in many of our photos from the early 40s on through the late 50s.

They were very popular & used until the toddler was able to sit up and face forward. Then came the Taylor Tot, which was also a convertible so it appears that almost all of us have had convertibles instilled in us since way back in our childhood.
