Paul, superior dash, pick a trim you like for your t-bird then look up the kits for the lincoln LS, it they have the same trim color for the LS tell them you want the trim pieces for navagation They will charge you about 30.00 for the pieces. I talked to them and they will do this for us.

I have inside information that Lou has a hot new mod. He will kill me for breaking the news early...but when he revs the engine in PARK, raisins come flying out of the left exhaust pipe.

I can't wait to see how Bunny Lou defends these accusations. It's got to be a gasser.

There you guys go again picking on the poor lovable bunny. Wellllllll I tell you all something,,,,,,,,,,, with the price of gas for our cars now and in the future going higher you alllllllll
are going to wish I figure out a way to run our birds on Bunny Farts.

Roger instead of you wasting your time trying to get that cheap weather rock David gave you to work, start working on an idea to convert Bunny Farts into fuel for our cars. I will even send you a whole barrel full of high octane farts for your tests. And if that does not work, I am sure we can get Charlie to send you an even larger amount of
BS free of charge. He has lots of it. Bunny Lou

Hope to have the new permanently mounted luggage rack on my salvaged trunk lid. Also hope to have my custom luggage built by then.

Custom luggage...will like to see that. I am using a waterproof ATV bag from Cabella's. Works great but has no style. I did get a black patch put on that now covers the big yellow Cabella's name so I am no longer a rolling advertisment for them. However, I do have something special I am working on for the luggage arrangement to give it a more "classic" look. Hope to have that ready for TT.

Paul, What did you use for the Cabella's bag? I had seen somewhere that a T-bird emblem was used which I was hoping I could do to cover the yellow name.

Roger...I went to a shop that makes custom embroideries and such to fabric/etc. They have a large flat hot press they use to bond vinyl to fabric/etc. They used that hot press to apply a piece of black vinyl that was big enough to cover the Cabella's name. Charged me $10. The vinyl patch is shiny compared to the rest of the bag but does not look as tacky as the big yellow Cabell's name. You can see it at TT.

Re: Mods to see and discuss at Texas Thunder

Well, I visited the paint shop today to see how my new trunk lid for my permanently mounted and modified Corvette luggage rack turned out. I am pleased with the job. I will take Vintage Merlot to the shop tomorrow to see how the color match worked. They will then do some wet sanding and buffing to take out a couple small problems and will be able to bring the baby home on
Friday and start installing the rack....

Best of all I finally ordered what I think is the perfect luggage to be mounted on the rack.... It is hard space age plastic and quite retro looking and totally water tight... not cheap however but I got a bargain on the Internet.....

I have a few mods to the luggage and hopefully it will be ready to launch out to Texas next Wednesday after we meet Mike and Emma here at the Bayou on Monday night for cocktails, then on Tuesday night Spence and Judy claim their Bayou overnight suite and Mike, Emma, Spence, Judy, Bonnie and I are heading to the Country Club for dinner. Spence will be wearing his green boa. The next day the exodus to Texas begins.
