I had the same issue , brought car in to ford, the computer identified 4 cops out. All covered bt extension of basic coverage up to 100,000.

When you go to Ford foar a bad COP and it's covered by waraty is there any charge , ie; testing labor etc.? Getting one COP at a time from my dealer would be a real pain in time and distance

Your time that's all. My L/M dealer always has me sign for a test and you will be charged $112.00 to analize IF it's not a COPS.

Is that common? I have told by LM dealer that I have symptoms of a bad cop and have never been told if it's not a cop I will be charged $110 for the test. I would never sign such a document..I would simply go to another dealer.

In my area of Florida if they test for a COPS and it comes up negative you are charged for the test.Simple time is money no dealer works for nothing. When you sign your service order you should check it you may not have been told.That is why it's best to have an engine light go on or know the symptoms of a COPS problem. I've had 7 so far so I can usually tell even if the light doesn't go on and that only happened once with just one failing.

most dealers have a 29 dollar diagnosis coupon check your dealers webb site I don't go to the dealer without a coupon
