Guess the wrong windows didn't slow down the buyer much. Wonder if that build sheet got lost between Texas and Indiana?

Guess you had to be there. Since you weren't and we were, we know what we saw. Maybe they corrected them the next week but probably not.

While all of his restorations are beautiful to look at, they are not all returned to there original state. He proudly showed us some cars that were Minter Red and others with a Minter Interior. Looked great but not correct for originality.

Frank: The build sheet specified power windows and memory seat. The car had the memory seat but the windows were crank. My guess is Minter sed the power windows on another restoration and never replaced them on this car.

As Paul said, WE were there and saw what we saw. I asked Amos Minter about it and got a very unsatisfactory answer. He told me he owned the car for nearly 30 years and it is what it is. Oh well, he is $195,000 to the good, power windows or not. I wonder what will happen if/when the new owner pulls a copy of the build sheet and finds the discrepancy.

Wouldn't worry. the crank windows are much more reliable than power windows.

The prices at Mecum sure seem to be rising compaired to others. Are their cars that much better? I haven't yet gotten over a sale in Kissimmee of a '59 Impala convert for close to $200K

                      Here's a 2004 T-Bird with 28K miles that went for $20,000 at Mecum.
