    Re: hardtop off for summer--finally

Ed.....did you guys ever think of anti mildew for canvas?
Years ago I crewed a racing Lightning out of NOLA.
we used something on our sails.....Sailkote I THINK.
Believe me, mildew on sales is a bigger problem than convertible tops......

She was a good one. Sold 12/30/2014.

Southern One word: Garage. Mine is always in the garage so no problems like you have listed and it's black so no problems with color or mildew showing.

I was searching for mildew on tan canvas tops and found this site. Has nothing to do with our birds but some pretty 55's 56's and 57's. http://c-it.com/aminter-tbirds/index1.html

It's hot enough that I've put the hardtop back on my Bird. I have to admit I also like the look of the Thunderbirds with the portholes on. I'll take it back off in the fall.

Some years back I was in Palm Beach during August. It was actually cooler and less humid than New Jersey.

Bruce, looks like you got it off just in time for Minnesota summer. Ninety seven yesterday and possible 100 today. Enjoy your ride!
