  • Very Interesting Torch Red '02 on Ebay

This is not my auction, nor do I know the person(s) this '02 belongs to, so if it pains anyone that I'm linking it feel free to not look. If it belongs to a TBN member and they want to speak up then they should go for it.

I just thought the interior work deserved a little look by the TBN faithful that appreciate interesting mods. It is listed as a 50th Anniversary Edition but then states it is an '02 so the listing has issues, but the car looks pretty unique. Check it out here:

I like the headrests,a little lower than the stock. Red is my color,so I like the addition of the red carpet, etc. Price seems fine if the car checks out to be as nice as shown.Wonder if it belongs to a member?

Thanks for showing me that link. I'm not looking for another Bird but I really liked what the owner did. Some of what he did is similar to what Mike "doubutsu" did with his interior.

All the tuck-n-roll is very classy in my opinion.

Thanks for showing this one, Paul. I really like the interior work, particularly the upper doors done in red.

I might have kept the top of the door panels black to mesh with the dash.

Guess you have to see it in the flesh to get a better perspective.

Looks like crap! Carpet looks like a remnant bath mat. The rest looks rigged.

I agree, and 3 owners in only 15,000 miles. It appears that no one likes that car.

Is it possible that the car spent a year in Montana having a title wash?

I'm not making any accusations here, but the traveling of this car and the highly modified interior leads to suspicion.

I agree, David ... Something is suspicious I think.

Could have been a flood and the interior all changed out to hide the water/mud damage?????

I agree...don't like the changes at all, and the carpeting looks like remnants. Too many unanswered questions on this one.

Mmmmm, yeah. It's just at 2,500 miles one way to Helena from Daytona (slightly less to Apopka) FL. From 6/14/05 to 7/28/09, it traveled 1,241 miles when it shows up in Montana from Florida and 758 miles from Montana to Daytona. Unless it flew or was on a trailer, somethin's not quite right. May be worth an inquiry to the current owner...

There is a 4 yr gap 6/14/05 dealer auction to7/01/09 for a registration.Could the dealer have been using or storing a high collectable car and then found it's not ? Using a trailer I could go along with that. This is a case for Dick Tracy. Car is in Tampa there are a couple of owners on the west coast who might be able to view and ask questions.
