  • Perhaps... A Bit Overboard????

    T-Bird Fans and Fiends:

While I was unemployed this spring, I spent some time cleaning up my weekly driver. After the waxing was done, I noticed how dirty the insides of Cashmere's 16 spoke wheels were.

So... I actually jacked up the car, removed 1 wheel at a time, and sprayed the inside of the wheel with my favorite brand, Eagle 1 Wheel and Tire Cleaner.

Now.. when you look at the wheel, you can actually see the silver behind the spokes.

So... any of you out there equally obsessive? Is this compulsion treatable? Help is appreciated.

    Thanks

    Sounds perfectly normal to me.

There is only one treatment for that ailment. Take 2 asprin and do my wheels also.

Seems to me that indicates a subconscious need for wire wheels.

A couple of good beers should handle it

Sounds about right to me, the money is in the detail. Suggest 1 beer per wheel

You're right on the money --> well maybe a couple more times a year - just for the beer factor alone

Usually after my bird is out on the dirty highway I jack up one wheel at a time and then clean all the ugly, dirty, germy, road gunk out from all the tire tread with a toothbrush. Then I spray the tread with hand sanitizer.

AND my wife thought I was anal.
Just kidding although she does think I am at times.
Maybe its the blue booties I make her wear over her shoes in our cars!

All my vehicles get the wheels cleaned on both sides every three months. I see nothing wrong with that but then I also clean and buff the exhaust system under the vehicle at the same time.

I remove and vigorously shake out my carpets. Annually. Whether they need it or not.

Carl....you're welcome to do mine anytime. I'm not that far away.

Art....are you using an ultrasonic toothbrush? I found that they work best for me.
