    Re: cleaning the engine

Are we talking about the 2002-2005 retro Birds here or everybody's method?

Cause if we are talking about the retro Birds I'm having difficulty understanding how all these garage queens get so dirty

First of all, thanks for all the replies. Is it okay to use lysol wipes? It's about 95 degrees out and it dries within 30 seconds, but just wasn't sure if it would cause any damage. I tried it on a piece of plastic it it did the job, but wanted to make sure I could continue to use it.

Josh, I would use a product like Armor-All Natural Finish sprayed evenly on a rag so the cleaning would be more consistent.

I use a little Mean Green degreaser. Hose it off. Start it up and take a ride around the block. Never a problem..

            Re: cleaning the engine

I prefer Oil of Olay on both the valve covers and block. It keeps both them and my hands supple and smooth while providing a gentle cleansing action.

For drying... I use a ConAir hair blow dryer while tossing both the valve covers and block lightly.

            Hope this helps....

            Thanks
