04 Bird and 6 disc changer

new 04 owner........love the car!
question on 6 disc CD changer..........can you shuffle all 6 CD's or just shuffle play one? Had a Z3 6 disc a time ago and you could shuffle all 6 cd's and made for interesting long distance trips. Any advice, is it possible?

On 'menu" you can select Shuffle Tracks or Discs.

Having said that.....mine has never been able to shuffle discs. Only tracks.

It doesn't bother me....I have an iPod adapter in the Bird that works good enough for me.
I will say that on a long trip, 6 discs which equals a bit less than 150 songs.....
actually gets quite repetitive IMO. I just did 3300 miles in my XJ8......
and there is no iPod adapter avail so I listened to that 6 disc changer which DOES
shuffle discs.

Never tried out the shuffle on the CDs.

If you read the posts here you will learn that using the CD player causes it to malfunction. Actually many here feel that way about the entire car. On the other hand ,,, just drive it till you break it is my philosophy.

Been out cruising this evening put 3 cd's in and hit the shuffle mode. Worked fine. Glad I read this post I didn't know it would do that. My F350 dually has the 6 changer also i'll have to check and see if it does this. Work van and explorer only have single CD.
