  • "E" gear?

I was driving today and put the car in reverse, then I put it in "D4"... The car drove fine, but said "E" rather than "D4" to show what gear I was in. Put it into D5, then back to D4 and it fixed itself. I was just curious, what exactly was the "E" standing for?

On another note, when you're driving locally with traffic, do you keep the car in D4 or D5?

D5 for all normal driving (if I'm not using the select shift feature).

If I'm in real stop/go traffic, I use select shift mode and leave the car in 2nd gear. Keeps the car from constant 1-2 shifting and also provides a bit of engine braking.
