    Re: Thunderbird Status Change

Bought ours to be a garage queen and only taken out in nice weather so average 500 miles annually.
Our daily driver gets about 8,000 miles annually. Many benefits in living in a neo traditional neighborhood where we can walk/ bike to restaurants, grocery, pharmacy, banks and shopping and more.

I love LA where our neo traditional neighborhoods and great weather encourages us to drive to restaurants, grocery, pharmacy, banks, shopping, beach, mountains, dessert and just drive for the sake of driving. I mean what more worthy thing can you do with classic crude oil then turn it into premium gasoline and run it through a nice V8 engine.

Great choice for a new car. It would have been mine too except I need to tow a boat and utility trailor. Our choice ended up a Jeep Grand Cherokee. I hope you enjoy your Bird just as much as before.

The '02 Bird and 2008 Mercedes Benz CLK550 Cabriolet are our fun cars. My daily driver is a 2000 Mustang GT convertible, and my wife drives her 2007 Volvo S60 to work. Still, we manage to enjoy all our cars. The Thunderbird is my favorite by a country mile!

Our 04 stays in the garage except when needed to sub for Lynda's daily driver and when we want to have fun. Lynda uses it when I need to use her Kia Sorento rather than my 94 f150. The f150 has 130000 miles but only gets about 13 mpg. TBird has 50000 mostly fun miles. Kia Sorento has 13000 miles in 6 months of Lynda's busy work schedule.

Same here. When the Volkswagen Passat I currently drive everyday wears out, I figure my grey 2003 Thunderbird will be put into daily service.

We haven't had our bird but a few weeks but it's pretty much a daily driver. We nave put about 1200 miles on it in three weeks. Had 35,000 on it when we got it. The Explorer got moved over to the spare bay for now until bad weather gets here. The Tbird won't get much rest it will still get run when the roads are clear.
