  • Octane booster...yes or no?

    when your significant other puts 87 octane gas in your Bird....is an octane booster the solution?

    Just run it down to 3/4 tank and fill up with 93.
    Do this about three times then fill as required.

      You can do that, but why? Just burn off about 1/2 taking a nice pleasant ride together enjoying the day finishing up with a dinner out and then get a proper re-fill. As long as there is no need to stomp on the gas you should be just fine.

        thats might be the solution... Did you cuss and fuss? It may take more than octane booster if you did.

          I was low on fuel and stopped at a station just to find out they no longer sold high octane gas. Filled up and noticed a significant decrease in performance. I now carry a bottle of the 104 in the trunk if it should happen again.
