  • Letter from our Dealer

Got a letter from our dealer today and they wanted to buy our T-Bird.I called and told them they could offer me what I paid for it back in 02, that's $41,000, and it still wouldn't be for sale. It ain't going anywhere besides my garage.
They are Here. Scotty, beam me up!

I got a similar letter from my dealer. It seems the auctions are devoid of good
Thunderbirds, so dealers are approaching customers with well maintained cars. I am not selling either. When I bought it back in 2002, I decided to pass it on through my estate.

Got one once about 5 yrs ago (saved it), got a second one a year later...showed them to the sales guy I've dealt with for the last 25 yrs. He went to the "powers that be", and said, "Don't insult Miss Elle ever again by sending one of those out." Haven't received once since. He also knows to call me anytime he gets one in, 'cause he knows I'll find a buyer for him!

Kind of the same situation with my dealership.

I agree...my parents have an old Plymouth van...they got one from the Ford dealer. They may try and appeal to my ego, but the bottom line is they want to sell a new car...it's marketing, pure and simple.

I got something better in the mail from my new dealer. It's a tin of chocolate chip cookies as a thank you for my purchase. They're good too!

I need to buy a car to get cookies?

                        No, thanks.

I just got $100 to test drive a Jaguar. Cookies are a lot less expensive.
