John,
That's about what I get in the city (13/15) without the investment in Borlas and CAI. I would not like to go any lower. I get 22/23 HWY. The Tbird gets the lowest gas mileage of any of our vehicles.
That's about what I get but my TBird beats my husband's F150!
I have not driven the Tbird in the mountains for a while. But my Chrysler 300c,
and My Dodge Hemmi1500 cruise controls definately decide that you need engine braking when going down long steep hills by downshifting. If you have a tachometer you will see the rpm increase as it downshifts.
You may have a problem. My retro and LS do not downshift on their own.
I have never had a car that downshifts on downhill grades while using cruise control.
It's my understanding that, under nornal conditions, if your set speed is being exceeded while going downhill, the cruise control decreases the gas flow to the engine.

Stand behind your car facing the trunk, look down at the top of your tailpipes, they will have Borla etched in the chrome!
Not necessarily, John. Don Fox installed Borlas, but cut off the Borla tips and replaced with originals, so no Borla logo when I got Moondoggie. I replaced those with authentic Borla tips last year, as the oems rusted out. NOW it has 'Borla' etched in the...STAINLESS STEEL!
Regarding mileage...approx 12-15 around town, depending on how heavy I stomp on the gas pedal. Usually around 23-25 on the hwy. That's for both MD & Goldi (Goldi only lacks Borlas).

Elle and John, I looked up what the Borla tips look like online. Mine are definitely not Borlas, plus they don't stick out, they are flush with the bottom of the bumper or maybe even a bit receded. My husband thought I was nuts out on the driveway last night with the flashlight trying to see under the car to check the tailpipes lol.

You'd know if you had Borlas just from the sound! If it doesn' go "vroom" when you take off, or "burble, burble" while idling, you don't have Borlas.
