Re: HORIBLE STORY
Oh, you'd better believe! And if I had to sue in order to get restitution for the Bird, they'd be paying the legal fees, too! Hell hath no fury like a T-Bird owner!Originally posted by Rondor View PostI would be pissed. The PO leece would be buying me a 1960 thunderbird or restoring mine.

Re: HORIBLE STORY
Probably not insured, too, and doesn't have 2 cents to rub together. High speed chases are frowned upon here in Tidewater, ever since 2 friends of ours were killed when the police slammed into them at an intersection in downtown Norfolk on Christmas eve several years ago. The person they were chasing had committed a minimal crime (not worth the chase, or the lives they took).Originally posted by 007Cruiser View PostThe driver of that car should be paying, not the police. At 3:00AM I'm guessing he/she was DUI.sigpic

Re: HORIBLE STORY
another story of same incident from King News up there: Incident occurred "shortly after" 1am and errant car wheels landed on hood of Tbird. I don't think the tbird was totaled.
The owner of the garage was planning to remodel the garage not the car but pictures show that the tbird was in need of restoration before it was hit.Limited Edition databases for 007 msg..#26 , PCR sticky, and Cashmere msg.#64

Re: HORIBLE STORY
Yes, high-speed chases are always frowned upon ..... unless of course somehow you were the victim and the driver is the villain.Bird is the word.....

Re: HORIBLE STORY
OK - I guess what I should have said is, the police in our area are NOT to engage in high speed chases, and if they do, they'll need a real good excuse, because they will ALWAYS be reprimanded, if not fired for doing so. There have been too many deaths/injuries as a result, and it was always the fault of the officers involved, not the one being pursued.Originally posted by RustyFrye View PostYes, high-speed chases are always frowned upon ..... unless of course somehow you were the victim and the driver is the villain.sigpic
