Okay, we've had some good replies (not as many as I would have hoped for, but at least some participants). To keep this moving along I'll ask Mark Gill to choose the next challenge. His picture of the '57 Dusk Rose and Ron's car with the modern interpretation of the color fulfilled my challenge exceptionally well. Thanks, Mark.

No pressure, just pick a fun challenge and keep this thread moving along.

Thanks Liz, for including a picture of our car at the Gilmore.

Thank you, Paul - I certainly had great subject matter to work with...
So the next challenge is.... A picture of your beloved Retro on the day you bought the car, or picked it up..... It has always been a tradition of mine to take a snap or two to remember that special day....

Good one, Mark. Ron ought to have a field day with this challenge, ha.

Here I am the day the car was delivered to the hospital where I work, the Friday afternoon before . A few pounds thinner (okay, several), more and darker hair - wow, almost 14 years since then. Never dreamed on that day, what fun, fun, fun lay ahead. So many places, so many friends and so many smiles since - what would life had been like without our retrobird? Thank goodness we'll never know.

I just happened to wear my red jacket that day (note the United We Stand button - 9/11 was only 2 months before). It was a little cool since it was early November.

Picking up the 007 earlier this year. The dealer made sure the Tbird was in focus and the old cuss and in his usually fuzzy state.

This was in MT. Dora, Florida, just after we picked up the Dusk Rose. Stewart Weir's Merlot was one of the cars that met us for lunch to celebrate the purchase.

I joined the Nest before I bought the car, to get help in making my decision. One important question I had for the forum, was if I could hang my elbow over the doorsill while cruising - hate being a low-rider in a cocoon.
Y'all assured me I'd be happy with the car (though someone suggested I'd be happier with a Mustang), so I went ahead.
