    Re: Seat Covers

I remember these things years ago. They were cool and comfortable and not kinky at all...

After a while the springs would poke through and the thing would get all out of shape. I guess at about $2.00 I didn't know they were disposables.

        Phil,
Do you think you can find the distributor for the "Fred and Wilma Flintstone" matching seat covers for the Retro Bird. I would guess that you can easily fill a TBN order for 50 units before the end of the week. However we will need a price.

I tried Bunny Lou but he only works with rabbit fur.

If you can't find a source I'll probably contact Black Beauty. He seems to have a way to locate all kinds of weird stuff.

          Well Roger,

I'm not sure about these. They might go well on the 'Black Hills' wildlife excursion.

I think Bunny Lou is lost somewhere in the high grass.

          Meanwhile ... 'Yabba, Dabba, Doo!'

And I've not received the side mirror rain defectors from China. Maybe someone should post a poll on whether members here take their 'cherished' birds through an automatic car wash or only do hand jobs. Rusty? I'd rather never subject Black Beauty to that harsh a treatment. Somethings don't change. A purist..at heart

You may want to rephrase that one, Greg.

Yeah, wait until Rusty gets a hold of Greg's "giving his cherished 'Bird a hand job ..."

Here's the deal. I just ordered some cheep wooden bead seat "cushions". They're real cheep. If they don't work no BIG deal. I just want something to stop me from sweating in those nice black seats. At least they are not to ugly!

                        Re: Seat Covers

I used the bead ones on leather seats one time and when I would take them out it would leave round impressions, they would eventually come out, but if you are planning on taking them in and out it may not be a good option.

These 'Flintstones' look like a bad road kill with the top down on the car. But, obviously, someone 'decorated' with them.

                            Re: Seat Covers

If you are anywhere near the LA area there is a lady who makes custom seat covers: Sophies Seat Design 710 Vine St Los Angeles CA 90038 323-464-1400. I called her ahead of time, she told me to bring the car in because she didn't have a pattern and she took some measurements, I picked my fabric, went to the strip mall next door and got a mani/pedi and when I got back my seat covers were done and expertly installed. They are made to fit the seats and she puts in the extra padding and stitching to make them look more custom. I paid $165 and it included the headrest covers and a shower cap type cover for the console lid. I also took in some Chicago Bear fabric and she made slip on covers for my husband's Cobalt for $65.

I think there is a photo in my gallery.

George I think Bunny Lou disappeared after his move last Fall. Don't think he's been here or posted since.
